Process:
 
Visual exploration through art materials, full of textures, sounds, surfaces, layers. The paintings are deliberate, yet intuitive.  The marks occur in many variations on many surfaces. On canvas, paper and wood panel. Lost in time construction occurs.
I respond visually in my own cryptic manner to influences that are philosophical, poetic, musical.  Nature influences subliminally, in parts of images. An urban wall eroded, time exposed, carries fragments of experience.  The weather, plus human made effects intertwine create visual tension. Many paper studies lead up to larger paintings, indirectly but not as a copy. 
The work is not literal or recognizable, but one that can lead to an imaginative and personal response.
